About Me I am a member of 2 bands: The Spirites Consort (Renaissance new age) and Saratoga Faire (Celtic acoustic). I am also a visual artist specializing in art inspired by the Renaissance, the Celts, mystical and fantasy. I try to do my art in the morning and music in the afternoons or evenings. It doesn’t always work out especially when I have to be in the recording studio for long stretches or preparing for a gig or getting pieces ready & framed for an art show. I somehow keep my sanity by making art in the same "genres" as my music.

Music I perform in a variety of styles: Renaissance, Medieval, Celtic, cross-over, classical, folk, new age and originals. Most often, I play guitar in our band. I also play recorder, Celtic harp & cello too (and my band mates are multi-instrumentalists too), but mostly on recordings so that we don’t need to use a moving van to play a gig.

Movies some favorites are Amadeus, Impromptu, Romeo and Juliet (Zefferelli version), The Seventh Seal, The Gold Rush (Charlie Chaplin), Dersu Uzala, Kundun, The Weeping Camel

TV BBC (or Masterpiece Theatre) "costume" dramas, PBS histories

Books Reading includes: biographies and histories, research, current events, art & music books and the classics (Shakespeare, Dickinson, Virginia Woolf, Dostoyevsky, Henry James, Tolstoy, Proust, Zola, etc)

Hobbies art & music. Also hiking, backpack camping and growing food as I can fit it in.

Tree with Heart and Sun

This is my latest in Celtic inspired tree art. This time I tried knotting the sky too. I haven't seen this done before & thought I'd give it a whirl. I also decided on a much bigger size (18" x 24" or 45.5 x 61 meters).

Right now I have it available in my online store as a 8.5 x 11 print (I can make bigger prints on request) and also in some brick and mortar stores in upstate NY, framed and unframed.

Autumn Tree with Knotted Roots and Knotted Border

This one is part of my "trees with knotted roots and knotted border" series (see my pics for the Spring one).

Right now this is up in my Etsy shop as limited edition archival prints, but I may add greeting cards & other products at some point (I've got them out as tags at some of my area shops).
